Where can I submit my SMART Scholarship application? The website is down. Do I send the information to the email on the website? How can I press the submit button before the deadline?

Oh man, I'm so sorry if you missed the deadline. I don't know if there is a way to submit it now, but maybe one thing you could try is emailing smart@asee.org and asking if there's anything they can do. At the very worst, at least you have a good set of essays ready for other applications and for next year's SMART.

Is there any way for me to access the application I had already submitted or to check the status of my application? Or do I just have to wait until LMI posts their site?

You wouldn't be able to see your application even if the ASEE website were still up. You should be getting an email by February if you passed the initial top-50% screen, and final notification will come around April or May. The best thing you can do right now is to just forget about it - there's a long way left to go and not much to do in the meantime.

The confusing part is that the email given once you submit says you can access your application through ASEE, you can't do anything to it I don't think, but you were supposed to be able to access it.

We couldn't access it last year. You could see the check marks for the parts you filled out and such - but you couldn't see any of your replies. The major difference this year is the fact that they took the website down completely to switch ownership to LMI. The website will be back up in February, but I would guess there won't be access to the actual application status page from this year.

When I had submit my application, I didn't receive an email confirming my submission. Should I be concerned?

Yes, I would be a bit concerned. I got mine within 5 min of my submission, and I didn't submit until 4:58 on December 1st. If you still haven't gotten one by tomorrow (Tues December 5th) I'd shoot ASEE an email and see if your submission went through. Though I don't know if they will be able to help what with the transfer of ownership. But maybe they will?

Try that website, but if it's not there don't freak out and just email the new address. I don't trust that website as being up to date based on the fact they specifically told us it wouldn't be accessible!
