Hey everyone,
You can see if someone in your school won a smart award for this year!
They've updated the list.

This means Temp Closed is meaningless.... I'm getting the message but my school only has one awardee which is a friend of mine.

The only trouble is what if someone else from your school received the award? How would you know if someone else applied or not?

I attend Brigham Young University Idaho, says 4 and this year is included. I don't know how many applied but I'm pretty sure I was the only one from the Electrical Engineering department. I'm getting the Incorrect PW message.

You can't know at all if you did get it. You will know though if you applied and your school didn't receive an award.

Does anyone with the "temp closed" message go to a school that they can see did not get an award at all in 2017?

Currently 91 schools have 2017 beside them. My school is one of them and my log in just changed to temp closed today.

We'll, either they haven't finished awarding, they haven't added new schools to the awarded list, or I am out. Congrats to those receiving the award.

Maybe "temp closed" is meaningless... I'm getting that message, but my school isn't on the list. I mean it's not technically accredited, but I managed to find a loophole with my SF which made me a candidate. Maybe they just don't want other undergrads from my university to apply??? Any thoughts???

Temp Closed is meaningless... None of my facilities were listed on my schools award and it's only awarding 1 scholarship which is going to a friend of mine. Better luck next year.

When did the message change for you? 2-3 weeks ago or now?
Because I still think the old change was meaningful. Not now.

Is it possible to see which facility is getting the award? As in which facility is receiving a candidate?

Mine changed the Friday that people started receiving the temp closed message, but my school isn't a recipient.

I am receiving "temp closed" and my school is listed. I was an original "temp closed".

If the school data is correct, I didn't get the award. I'm 99% sure I was the only one to apply from my school and it isn't listed.

Edit: I received invalid user/password error, so it looks like "Temp Closed" means you got the award.

My message just changed to temp closed, and my school is listed for 2017. I also know I am the only one who made it through semi-finals from my institution.

I have been getting the temp closed message from the beginning. My school is not even listed.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am almost positive that there's no way they are done entering schools. Do you know how I have deduced this?

Number of Schools Awarded in 2015: 118
Number of Schools Awarded in 2016: 133
Number of Schools Awarded in 2017(?): 91
And their budget went up 14%?
Furthermore, doing some quick number crunching and using the internet wayback machine, I can confirm that only 124 awards have been added for 2017 (in particular, note the University of Central Florida, which is listed as 2017, but whose number of awards haven't changed since 2016, which seems weird unless they aren't done).
So relax, everyone. We will almost certainly know for sure tomorrow. Don't worry too much if your school isn't listed yet.
