Officially, if your SF decides they no longer "want" you then, they notify SMART and SMART finds another SF willing to sponsor you. If SMART can't find any replacements they release you without the requirement for repayment. As far as I understand, these rules are for a case where your SF decides your skills/interests genuinely do not align with theirs. If there was some kind of misconduct or other influences as to why they wanted to dismiss you then it might be harder to get a replacement SF and SMART might dismiss you in a way that does trigger repayment.

Has anyone had an experience where, after their internship, the SF decides that they no longer want to sponsor you? Does SMART find you a new facility or are you forced into repayment?
