False alarm! Turned out it was a trusted contractor, and it had to do with the NREIP program. Not sure why it looked so weird and ASEE didn't tell me about it first though...

Wouldn't all email about security forms and other administrative functions for the SMART scholarship come from an asee.org address unless they notified you first about something else coming your way.

Yes, do be careful. There has been a reported increase in spam, especially via e-mail, these past few weeks. I agree with the previous post, ask SMART first!

I would contact SMART before filling anything out!

Has anyone received an email about filling out an E-QIP form for clearance? I got one last night, but I can't figure out if it's for the NREIP program or for SMART, and frankly the email looks so bizarre (odd wording, strange and varied fonts) I'm slightly wondering whether it's real or some kind of scam.
