I'm currently a Phase 2 scholar coming up on the end of my commitment in September. I'll be leaving my SF and going to graduate school right after my commitment, but I'd like to have a little extra time to prepare for my move. I've worked a bunch of overtime for various programs (probably more than a month's worth of extra duty hours), and I split it pretty evenly between overtime and comp time.

I was hoping that the extra time I worked could be credited towards my SMART commitment so I could have a couple extra weeks between my commitment end and grad school to prepare. Has anyone else been successful in getting overtime worked credited towards their SMART commitment, and how did you go about doing it? I figure any comp time I earned wouldn't be eligible since I took that as time off at a later date, so it basically exchanges work now for work later. But overtime should be eligible in my view since that's just extra time worked that I got paid for.

If anyone else has run into this issue, let me know what you did. If I'm the first, I'll reply back and let everyone know what I did myself and if it worked! Hope everyone's enjoying life in paradise as a SMART scholar lol.
If your overtime makes you eligible for leave at your SF, you could just take that leave. Although, it may be too
late if the pay period/quarter has ended. For example, if we have to work an evening/night test, we can use that overtime to replace another day of work later.

SMART does not have to be involved that way.

ask your service liasion (not the scholar coordinators), but i highly doubt it. we sign a contract of a 1:1 ratio.
